🚨‼️SCAM ALERT‼️🚨 Recently we have seen an influx of scam calls by individuals pretending to be from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office stating that there is a warrant for your arrest. These scammers then ask for money in the form of cryptocurrencies, cash app, and/or gift cards to “get out of” the warrant. No one from CCSO will ever call you and ask for money to avoid arrest. Chief Casarella wants to remind you to always hang up and report these types of calls to our non emergency number (941) 639-2101 🫵📱
