“Do one thing that scares you everyday” -Elenor Roosevelt I saw this quote on a chalk board in a coffee shop the day after my little baby made his way to heaven. Today, this post scares me because it solidifies that he’s really gone. Damn does life go by fast… 11 years of being your mom, but damn did it feel like a blink of an eye. I’m still your mom and will alway be. I’ll talk about you all the time. I’ll share stories like the time you were almost eaten by a bull mastiff on 4th of July because you really thought you could fight a 120+ pound dog over some food. I’ll probably chuckle to myself a few times when I see a dog lifting its leg to pee knowing how many times you preformed your handstand pee pee’s. I’m probably going to even laugh at myself when it gets dark out and I remember when I used to bring you out without a leash calling out “mweh mweh” - a name that I started calling him out of no where years ago - sounding like an insane person calling out to nothing because it’s so dark outside and no one can see you on account of how tiny and dark you are. This little dude brought me so much happiness and was my home during a time in my life where I was jumping from one place to the next. I’d always have people saying “She really brings that little dog everywhere” and I don’t regret it for one second. Sure, maybe he slowed me down a bit but maybe that was the whole point. To slow down in this crazy life that pulls us in so many different directions. Any trip I was able to bring bean potato on, he was coming! I truly know what it feels like to love something with my entire existence and for that, I am so lucky. Binx was & is my heart and soul and something that will be apart of my story forever. I’ll catch you somewhere over the rainbow, mweh mweh - I love you more than anything. 🫘🥔🖤🪽🌈
