We're excited to welcome Tatiana Tate to the #BachFamily!

Tatiana Tate is a Los Angeles–based trumpeter, composer, and bandleader whose work bridges jazz tradition with contemporary culture. Influenced by Roy Hargrove, Donald Byrd, and Miles Davis, her sound is rooted in the trumpet’s lineage while remaining distinctly modern in voice and approach.

A graduate of Jazz Studies and Commercial Music Composition, Tatiana performs internationally as both a solo artist and collaborator. She has appeared alongside Stevie Wonder, Macklemore, and Arturo Sandoval, and was featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert with Grammy Award–winning artist Doechii. Her work has also been featured in an ESPN Super Bowl commercial and across major broadcast and music platforms, including The Voice, Billboard Women in Music, and iHeartRadio.

She leads the powerhouse horn section Melanin Horns, which has collaborated with artists such as Ella Mai and The Wailers, bringing high-energy brass performance to major stages and touring productions worldwide.

Tatiana began her musical journey through the nonprofit Jazz Angels in her hometown of Long Beach, California, and now mentors young musicians through the Just Jazz Foundation, continuing the cycle of education, advocacy, and access.

Tatiana Tate represents a new generation of trumpet artists who are grounded, versatile, and forward moving.

Tatiana Tate plays the Bach 65 Trumpet.
