My new song “Not Broken” is now out in the universe along with a glorious music video. I wrote the song as a message to myself: a response to my darkest feelings about life. I may not show it outwardly, but my default can be pretty fucking negative. So I selfishly wrote a song that would hopefully help me feel a little better from time to time. ‘Please take me to my body / I wanna be somebody / And the voice said...you’re not broken...you’re just lost in emotions.’ The song is off my new album 𝓐𝓷𝓭 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓥𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓢𝓪𝓲𝓭 out 2/27/26. When I played the song for my friend and filmmaker @daniel.carl.the.fox he immediately had a vision of many people singing the song’s message. We spent 4-5 days out on Coney Island shooting this music video like a documentary (Daniel and his partner Maura – @momo.and.fox.films – make documentary activist films). Doing it this way meant a lot more shoot days than usual. We went around talking and singing and dancing with so many people, having really meaningful interactions and capturing many of the moments on film.
