Dr Bhau Daji Museum presents ‘Landscape Plays’, the first solo exhibition in India by internationally acclaimed artist, composer and theatre-maker, Heiner Goebbels, in collaboration with Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai from 15th March to 31st May, 2026. Goebbels’ works situate contemporary sound within the praxis of performing and visual art through the creation of site-specific immersive installations. Visitors are invited to move beyond passive recognition of sounds and images and actively navigate the interplay of light, sound, and movement. The exhibition moves away from the traditional narrative arc to foreground unfolding events within a play in an indeterminate manner, allowing for a fluid, self reflexive experience rather than a story explicitly told.
