There’s something about preparing for a race like this at this time of year. Starting early November, building gradually through the winter months… it’s a different kind of challenge. Less straightforward, more dependent on adapting to conditions and planning ahead, but rewarding in a way that feels unique to this season. TGC is a special course and one I really enjoy (for the most part). A course that never really lets you settle…technical, varied, always asking something new. I’m not entirely sure whether I raced it better this year or last. Two very different experiences, and a lot learned in a short space of time. Thanks to @_joshwade and @hannesnamberger for making sure there was no easing off towards the south of the island 💪🏻 Now it’s time to step back for a bit. Recover properly, then build again towards the end of June…with a bit of ski season at home, hopefully, still to come. Next race: Mont Blanc 90K
