A sneak peak into the world of TBU – MG’s Kitchen. While the world seemed to stop in 2021, during Melbourne's numerous lockdowns, TBU built from scratch a 100sqm custom built commercial kitchen with a capacity to produce hundreds of emergency meals within, to be delivered to any location in this state the same day!. Built and fitted out in under 3 months by many generous supporters, donors and trades donating resources and time, MG’s kitchen was born! We opened in April 2021. Named in honour of our dear friend and mentor Michael Gudinski. Music and the arts is in our blood and it shows though in everything we do…cooking all day, cool tunes and a fun atmosphere are what volunteers and corporate teams experience when they spend time preparing delicious meals destined for people experiencing food insecurity. The joy and enthusiasm generated in the space makes for an unforgettable day and definitely adds flavour and love to the food produced.
