Here are the highlights from the May Build Dubai meeting. You may be hearing rumblings in the background about the Metaverse, NFTs, and blockchain. How can companies and brands market their business in the digital world? Meta4space co-founder Firas Alsahin explained the skills and knowledge needed for designers and architects to master the Metaverse. Introducing Augmented Reality (AR) technology, the NFT design process as well as the potential of creating digital architecture, Firas shared what lies ahead in the world of meta. Traditionally, the second half of the meeting is reserved for presentations and updates from Build Dubai members. With the recent opening of The Mosque of the Late Mohamed Abdulkhaliq Gargash in Dubai, one of the first mosques in the UAE designed by a female architect, Sumaya Dabbagh's latest project caught the attention of both local and international design media. Founder of @dabbagharchitects_ shared with Build Dubai guests and members her vision for the future as they approach a new chapter in the practice's journey. Nikita Chernovalov from @hudalighting shared updates regarding the Paperless Initiative, which is the very first Build Dubai initiative to focus on sustainable construction.
