The AI maximalist worldview that treats every career not adjacent to machine learning as a dead end waiting to happen is both empirically questionable and psychologically corrosive, because it creates a permanent anxiety about relevance that conveniently keeps people glued to the same industry that is selling them the tools they are told they cannot survive without.
