Fa’afetai Samoa!

Glory to God for the blessings bestowed upon me, my family, our team, our country, our region. What God has done for us is worthy of everlasting gratitude.

Not even the expanse of the ocean could measure the love I feel for Pacific Islanders around the world. Thank you for the outpour of support. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. May we continue to grow a strong, unified, loving and peaceful Pacific. Our cultures, our strength, our resilience, our innovation and creativity defines us.

I am ready to serve our Pacific Islands as your Miss Pacific Islands! It is my greatest honour to be a daughter, custodian and ambassador for our region.

This triumph is a full circle moment, a dream come true and thousands of prayers answered.

My heart swells with pride. I am so proud to draw strength from God, the ocean, islands, people and cultures of our Pasefika, Wansolwara, Blue Pacific Continent. Glorifying God, honouring our Ancestors and nurturing our future generations in all I do!

Thank you to the Government of Samoa, Samoa Tourism Authority, Digicel Samoa, Fiji Airways, Eveni Pacific, all the local Samoan Fashion Houses, Onomea Productions and Team Samoa.

To my siblings, friends and family who travelled to Nauru to be with us and my parents Fred and Maryjane who laid the foundation, paved the way and made it all possible.

I acknowledge the Government of Nauru, the Nauru Organising Committee, the Samoan community in Nauru, the Miss Pacific Islands Board of Directors and Official Judges. I acknowledge the special legacy and work that our former Miss Pacific Islands Josie Nicholas has achieved, and the hard work of the amazing contestants and ambassadors of their countries.

Special mention to Onomea Productions and all of our Team Samoa.

With love,
Miss Pacific Islands Moemoana Safa’ato’a Schwenke
