Today , March 11th, 2021 I made the decision to get baptized. Been thinking about this for a little over a year now, and finally went through with it. Throughout the last couple years of my life, there’s been many ups and downs, but I never quit. The saying “God gives the toughest battles to his strongest soldiers” is a perfect representation of my life over the last couple of years. I’ve went through a tough breakup, a potential loss in playing the sport that I love so much, deaths of family and close friends, but I never gave up. PERSEVERANCE is a word that represents how I go through everything in my life. No matter how hard life gets, no matter what obstacles you go through, GOD will always be there for you. This is something that at first I questioned, but now know that it’s a reality. I can’t express enough my gratitude and appreciation for not only my family, who has been there with me every step of the way , making sacrifices to put me in the position that I am in now, but to my friends who I call my brothers. Y’all know who y’all are, and I just want to say thank you for helping me grow into the young man that I am. God doesn’t make mistakes, and for everyone who is in my life, from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you. Thank you for pushing me , thank you for being there for me, and most importantly thank you for being there for me. With this baptism, I’m closing the chapter of the old me, and will continue working toward the man that I know I can be. If you took the time to read this post, I appreciate you, and I love you. You will always have a friend in me, someone that cares for you in me, and most importantly someone you can speak highly of, because from here on out it’s up and it’s stuck.
