This exhibition, composed primarily of works on paper, extends the artist’s research into the interplay between free forms and constrained gestures, here imbued with a social dimension — that of the prison system, of structures of authority and control, and of the enduring tension between constraint and the possibility of freedom. Trace, erase, begin again: here, drawing takes center stage. Lines accumulate, and contingency creates openings for escape. Principalement composée d’œuvres sur papier, cette exposition prolonge les recherches de l’artiste autour des relations entre formes libres et gestes contraints, tout en les inscrivant dans une dimension sociale : celle du système carcéral, des formes d’autorité qui organisent et contrôlent, et de la tension constante entre contrainte et possibilité de liberté. Tracer, effacer, recommencer : le dessin occupe ici une place centrale. Les lignes s’accumulent, laissant à l’aléa la possibilité d’ouvrir des échappées.
