A followup on my post a few days ago. From birth to death, women are told that we can never relax. That we must always fix something. Our weight. Our wrinkles. Our features. Our age. Our way. Hollywood. The fashion industry. The beauty industry. I hold you responsible. You helped create these ideals. And those ideals have harmed generations of women. Are we powerless against this machine? No. We can choose who we follow. Who we support. What we normalize. We can unfollow brands, magazines, influencers, clinics, and celebrities that make us feel like we are not enough. And we can choose to celebrate something else, share something else, us. Real bodies. Real faces. Real aging. The female body was never meant to stay the same.
